Kink and Mental Health

Being an emotionally healthy person is a goal that all of us have but a smaller margin actually accomplish. With the constant stress of commitments and modern day obligations, our emotions face the brunt of it. The goal of a submissive is to seek that balance in emotional states so that our service appears stress-free and sincere; even if we have a lot going on in the background. Living as an emotionally healthy submissive takes knowing what is considered healthy to begin with.

Lessons in Submissive Speech

Not long after my first step into the real world of BDSM I learned of a phrase that to this day has no real definition that I can pin to it. That phrase is “speaking submissively.” To me, there is no way to speak submissively that isn’t also speaking respectfully and with deference. Many other people speak the same way in situations that call for it, like in front of a judge or to the president for instance. But I still get questions about how a submissive is supposed to say x, y and z so I thought that I’d do my best to convey what I think would work in a variety of circumstances so that if the occasion arises that you need to “speak submissively” you’ll have something you can say.

They’ve been archived here with the editor’s permission since the site was first created but I don’t think many of you know just how wonderful they are. I encourage you to check them out!

The Female of the Species: Bisexuality and Identifying as Submissive

Playing with other girls can be great, but it works the best when everyone wants it to happen. Not just 2 out of the 3. I think there needs to be an attraction too, in whatever form it takes whether it's physical or something else or that added x factor. For me I enjoy it the most when I play with someone who I consider a friend and who I am comfortable with, so I think my advice for anyone wanting to explore this is that it's best to find a good friend first and see where it goes if an attraction develops just like any other relationship.

Collars and More: Symbols of Ownership in a D/s Relationship

For me, ownership needs to feel permanent, but also part of a loving and happy relationship. The things that symbolize ownership to me are things I can't get rid of too easily since the collar needs a special allen key that he keeps to remove it and my tattoo, of course, would need to be removed surgically. Both of these mean as much to me as my engagement ring.

Going the Distance - How to Survive a Long Distance Relationship

I think the first thing to ask when entering into a long distance relationship is simply is it worth it? Is the time that you will have together worth the expense and duration of the journey? Is there something better closer to home? If the answer is that it is worth it most definitely then you know it can be true that absence makes the heart grow fonder.
