It’s me, the Irish Miss

I have to say; probably the worst thing you can do to a writer is ask him or her to write about him or herself. It is the number one reason why I am not writing an autobiography, okay.. yet. We are hyper critical about ourselves in that manner. But I am always open to answering questions about my life especially if it can help someone advance further in their self discovery. I have been described as the “Dear Abby” of the Kinky Community. Hmmm perhaps we will work on a column like that.

Structure has always been a part of my life. I was raised in Ireland by my mother and grandparents who were very old fashioned in their mannerisms. Granted mum’s idea of old fashioned had more to do with manners and etiquette than that of how the household should be run. Which in most household’s the husband is in charge. Not with my mother. She was not just a Domme, she was the royal Domme. Please and thank you were not being polite, they were words you used if you ever wanted something, or else it was not happening. Things changed some when we moved to the United States as there were many distractions for her, but my submissive side remained a part of me. I could always tell when other Dominants were present and I showed my respect immediately. This continued to be my trend even in my adult years though I didn’t know that it was part of a lifestyle until I began role playing with a Dominant who asked me about my submissive tendencies. Had I had any real life experience? Was it something I was interested in further perusing? Etc. So we began experimenting via online with the assistance of my husband who helped me to follow through with some of my tasks.

I then began getting involved in the local community, and that is when I met who would be my first in person Dom. Finding the right person definitely takes a lot of trial and error. Since then I have been reaching out to find out just where all of my boundaries are both mentally and physically and sharing my experiences as I go along. I also came to realize that I am a little. This is rather new to me only because I suppressed it for so long. But I am quite enjoying the freedom to express that side of me and feel safe about it. So there are many sides to me.

I do have my Alpha side which takes control of how our house runs, and wants to help guide those who are new to this lifestyle. I have a submissives group that is held twice a month, though we paused for awhile and will soon going to be getting back to it, and I enjoy commenting upon many subjects throughout the different forums on the internet. I am a very big supporter of educating people when it comes to their sexual needs and I previously did naughty girl parties so that I could. Yes, and to get a bunch of fun toys for myself too. Duh.

What about my family life you ask? We are poly and really enjoy our family structure. What’s interesting is that we are always open to new experiences, so the three adults in my family have the opportunity to go out on dates with others, or have scenes. I tend to be the more reserved one. What does that mean? I am not one to have multiple partners. I have one or two people in which I trust to indulge in my masochistic side, and then I have one other who I am bound to. But even with our differences, our family works very well together as we know our places within it.

As far as my writing I have been a creative writer from the moment that I could put pen to paper and create words. I have published many poems and articles over the years and am now working upon my first novel. My focus for my writing lingers between Sci-fi, Erotica, and Horror depending upon my mood.

Other fun things about me are I am a geek gurl. I love to play WoW when I have decent internet which currently I don’t, so I am playing on Facebook and Evony. I love to play other video games on our X-Box and soon to get a PS3. My computer is my baby. It may not be the best, but it’s mine. Back away slowly. I love G4, and the SY FY channel even though I think the name change is lame. I understand why it happened, but still. I love vampire shows such as True Blood and Vampire Diaries. Okay so Vampire Diaries is a bit teenish but get over it. Damen is adorable. No I am not into sparkling vampires don’t even go there. Supernatural is still a good show, still wish they didn’t go down the religious hole but, they still make it entertaining and hello Dean. MMmm finger licking good. Ahem where was I, oh yes.

Other fun things about me. I am not your prissy style little Irish girl. Common question I get, is do I have an accent? Yes, though it has faded over time unless I speak to relatives and then holy hell watch out you may need an interpreter. Good thing I am writing right? Anyhow, I love to ride motorcycles, play in the mud.. yes mud wrestling is fun, and go fishing. I will even gut my own fish. I used to be a U.S. Army Medic ,Hoorah!! And have no issues with hip throwing someone who doesn’t have permission to pinch my ass. ~smiles~

So there you have it, I am a fun loving poly submissive little with slave tendencies who loves to answer questions, writes a lot of things including smut, blood and guts, and supernatural things and more, plays video games and yes on occasion even finds a good anime that I like to watch, loves to play with toys (Adult and otherwise.) I am on Fetlife as SehAnru so feel free to drop me a line or add me as a friend. You can also email me directly at littlemissirishone@gmail.com and can use that same email to find me on Facebook. Be safe, have fun, and live life to its fullest.

Welcome to The Submissive Guide — a blog look at mentoring, self-taught training and BDSM exploration.

luna_corset_smMy name is luna and I’m a full-time submissive in a D/s relationship. I am webslut to The Iron Gate, Submissive Journal Prompts, The Thinking Dominant and a few others.

I started blogging when I was exploring D/s online in 2003. I used it primarily as a way to get my thoughts together and hopefully to find people that understood what I was thinking at the time. I needed advice, mentors and helping hands.

Since then I have blogged in several different places, settling on BDSM is Love. I’ve developed opinions and thoughts on many topics within the the D/s dynamic and BDSM. I don’t consider myself to be an expert at anything at all but I do think that I’ve grown to enjoy sharing and writing about all the different themes that submission and service provide me.

As my blog grew in popularity I realized that I had a commodity that people could use. My insights and words. More than just the personal meandering thoughts I tend to gather on my blog, but more thoughtful help for submissives that are seeking advice, mentorship and someone who understands.

From Online, Long-Distance and Casual to Real-Life, Full-time Submission

I’ve been through it all and can give a submissive valid insights on all facets of exploration. I’ve been an online submissive, lived a long-distance service and even played casually for awhile. Now I’ve moved to live-in submission where we tried part time, just in the bedroom and finally settled on full-time D/s dynamic where we are most happy.

So, if you feel that I won’t understand where you are coming from, just try me. I might surprise you!

Why Submissive Guide?

This site is dedicated to helping submissives understand themselves and the service they wish to provide; from sexual to domestic, personal assistant to pain slut and everything in between.

I started this site in January of 2009 because I wanted to help others out there to understand the feelings and experiences that are new and sometimes puzzling. I’d like to be a mentor to novice submissives, develop a learning program of sorts and give you tips and information on how you can improve your personal submission with or without a partner. I’ll be regularly adding essays, reviews and perhaps a video or podcast or two.

I hope you enjoy the site.

What others are saying about Submissive Guide

Thank you very much for putting this all together. i am new to the lifestyle. i have met a wonderful Master who found your site and referred me to it. i have gleaned so much information. It has really given me so much wonderful information that i feel more enlightened and better equipped to understand what my Master is teaching me. There has been so many wonderful thoughts, ideas and pointers that I really can’t be more specific. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. — dita

I followed a link to your site and I have been reading it the last several days. I want to compliment you on the excellent job you have done with it. I am very impressed with many of the articles and blogs and other resources you list. In fact I have given the site to my LDR submissive because she is on the new side and I thought it would be helpful to her.

But I must say several of the articles I have found helpful to me too! I hope you don’t mind one of us D types lurking around.

I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your site. Thank you for publishing it! – LGM

I just wantedto drop you a line and tell you how much I enjoy your website. I am a newbie to the lifestyle – started with reading books, articles on the internet and have begun chatting on line. I have met one Dom, had one meeting that was very brief but seemed to go well – I was comfortable with him (normally a very shy person and don’t open easily at first) and he seemed pleased. I am trying so hard to take it slow but am so anxious to experience all that I have read/learned about.

Again, just wanted to give you a little nudge of encouragement and to let you know that your words help those of us new to the lifestyle. Thank you again –Terri

I wished to write to you to thank you for taking the time to put together your wonderful site. I stumbled across it late last night while searching for a collar that Sir has instructed me to buy to formalize our relationship, and I read with great interest. I plan to show Him your site this evening, but I have already undertaken some of the exercises you have shared.  In reading, I realized how much work we have already done in our short month long relationship; particularly in training.  I took the time to formally write down all the ways in which my own instincts or behaviors have been modified or finessed to be more pleasing to Him, and this was truly a labor of love, so I appreciate it. — A
