Since I did a review for “Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center”, I wanted to also do a review for the follow-up novel, “ Brie Pleases Her New Master: After Graduation”. Author Red Phoenix hadn’t originally planned to write the squeal, but she had so many fans wanting to know what happened with Brie and her Master after the collaring ceremony, that she chose to write this second novel.

“Brie Pleases Her New Master” picks up right where the first one left of, with Brie and her new master leaving the Submissive Training Center to start their life together. Even though Brie learned a great deal about being submissive at the training center, she still has a lot to learn on how to serve and please her new master. Brie realizes that despite all she learned at the Training Center, learning in a classroom can only prepare her so much for what it’s really like to experience full-time submission. She realizes also that she also has to apply what she’s learned in and outside the classroom. She also learns of her master’s tragic past and trying to do what she can to help him move past the ghosts that haunt him still.

Brie gets her big break when a famous Hollywood director takes interest in her documentary that was made during her time at the Training Center, but has to rely on the cooperation of one of her arch-enemies to be able to finish the project in time. While her master has faith that everything will work out for Brie, she’s not as optimistic about things working out.

As the story unfolds, Brie’s submission is tested several different times as she continues to learn and grow. Due to her Master’s business, he’s called away to Russia and leaves another dominant to care and watch over Brie while he’s away, a decision that causes her a great deal of discomfort. Her Master also leaves a decision up to her that frightens Brie because it’s something that’s way out of her comfort zone, and Brie also ends up doing something that angers her master beyond words and leaves her wondering if she will be uncollared.

We also get to learn more about her former classmates Lea and Mary as well as the staff of the Submissive Training Center. Brie gets to learn more about how some of the other staff ,members live their D/s lifestyle and learns about the past between a former play partner and instructor of the Training Center, which explains their bitter attitude.

Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission: After Graduation” is as well written as the first one and once again, Red Phoenix makes it easy to get attached to her characters all over again. Not only that, but also expresses submission in such a beautiful, down to earth manner.
