I’m a full-time submissive in a D/s relationship. I am webslut to My Personal Blog, The Iron Gate, Submissive Journal Prompts, and help my Master KnyghtMare with Kink Network Sites.

I started blogging when I was exploring D/s online in 2003. I needed advice, mentors and helping hands. Since then I’ve made it my mission to help novice submissives understand themselves and the services they wish to provide. Read more >>

I know the perfect place – people would have to sign up for the site, but it is free.

They have a chat room there that is ONLY available when you are a member. The chat room is set up so that you can create your own room, under whatever name you would like. And I have never had my computer crash while in that chat room, unlike other sites.

    1. I’m voting no for the BDSM Library. It’s widely porn based. I’m not going to invite the readers of this blog to a site where SEX is obvious. It’s just not the welcoming atmosphere I want to create.

      Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hmmm, you are right – they do have a lot of porn advertisements there.

are you talking about voice chat or messenger/typed type chat?

Either one could make a difference.

I know that when I was playing some MMORPG’s we used to use a free voice-chat service called Ventrilo – you can download it from http://www.ventrilo.com, and once it is all set up anyone can sign in and chat providing they have speakers/headset and a mic and know the port and password etc.

This is real time voice chat btw with multiple people being able to chat at once – we used to have around 20 people or more using it at any one time.

Can’t help on a useful chatroom however.

welllll…..the only place i ever chat (which is rare) is on collarme.com, but there are a lot of porn ads there too. i just minimize my screen so only the chat box is visible. i get your updates every day, even tho i rarely comment. Depending on what time/day you set up the chats, i’d be interested in being there.

Has anyone used gmail’s chat function yet? I haven’t had the chance so I don’t know if it’s kludgy or not.
I vote for web-based, nothing you have to install because there are too many programmers that don’t include a Mac client. :-(

As to what I use, iChat and Yahoo (via Adium)

    1. Gmail’s chat function (GTalk) is like any other chat client like Yahoo or AIM. It’s not built for group chat. I agree that web-based is the way to go so that no one has to install anything else on their system.
